Emergency Water Heater Repair
Problem: When her water heater stopped working on New Year's Eve, Maria found herself in a difficult situation. Concerned she wouldn't be able to receive service on such short notice, she called us.
Solution: We sent a serviceman that same day. After arriving, our plumber, Hing, noticed a problem with the thermocouple, the part of the water heater that allows the pilot light to stay lit. Hing determined that buildup around the thermocouple was preventing the pilot light from staying lit, which was also preventing the water heater from starting. In less than an hour, Hing was able to remove the build up and get the water heater back up and running.
Hing was very personable and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem quickly and worked very hard in the time it took to fix it. He had been working all day at other jobs and it was New Year's Eve, but he showed no impatience and was determined to work until the problem was fixed.
